With the changing seasons come changing trends. We have the list of everything you need to know to keep your face fresh and fierce this Fall.
- Black Lines– smudgey black liner will make the eyes the focus of your faces. Rim your waterline with a greasy black pencil and don’t be afraid to go as thick as you want on the top lid.
- Glitter– Shimmer and shine made its way onto the runways this season. A great way to balance out dark eyeliner is to add some glitter to the inner corners of your lids. Experiment with different colors or try a classic silver or gold to brighten up your look.
- Dark Lips– If you want to emphasize your lips instead of the eyes, try a neutral liner and black lipstick instead. Nervous to go for a full-goth? Try an ultra-dark lip shade with some berry tones to achieve the trend without being too bold.
- Peach Tones– If dark tones aren’t your style, you’re in luck. Peach shadows and highlighters were seen on the runway this season, creating a softer, more romantic look for Fall that complements the ever-changing colors of the leaves.
A New Kind of Tea
Pretty soon the temperatures will be dropping, and you’ll want to warm up. Try this new superfood- Chaga Tea. Chaga is actually a medicinal mushroom that has traditionally been used in Russia and parts of Asia due to its various health benefits. Research suggests that Chaga can help regulate the immune system, reduce inflammation, support healthy cholesterol and blood pressure levels, and improve the appearance of skin. It is also antioxidant and nutrient rich, suggesting it may help in preventing and fighting cancer.
Chaga Tea can be found in many health food stores, and is available from various online retailers. Try a cup for yourself, and comment on our Facebook page to let us know what you think!
Did you hear about the recent study on soda intake? Just two sodas (or other sugary drinks) a day can increase your risk of gallbladder cancer. Read up on the latest here and protect your health.
This Fall, leave the reds and browns for the leaves! When your sun-kissed skin fades, what is left behind? If you notice a few new spots and fine lines, there’s no need to worry. A chemical peel at deme can help you reveal beautiful skin.
Our clinical skin care staff only uses the purest chemical materials to remove up to 35 tiny layers of dead, outer skin, which prompts the body to generate a new layer of skin cells with increased natural development of collagen and elastin. deme’s lasers can resurface skin and get rid of hyperpigmentation (sun spots). The result is clean, healthy-looking skin, after a period of post-procedure peeling. Our clinical aestheticians will select which level and type of chemical peel is best for you based on your skin condition, tone, and the results you desire.
